Hi, I’m Raluca Moncica, a passionate Myofunctional Therapist with over 14 years of experience in the dental field. As a skilled Restorative Dental Hygienist and Invisalign certified provider, I excel in a wide range of dental treatments, including composite fillings, crowns, placement of orthodontic appliances.
I have continued to expand my knowledge and skills by becoming an Orofacial Myotherapist, working with patients of all ages to optimize the development of their Orofacial muscles. My work has proven to facilitate straighter teeth, improve breathing, and enhance overall health.
As a Myofunctional Therapist, I work with you to develop Orofacial Neuromuscular patterns that allow your facial muscles to function properly and reduce any compensation that is causing you problems. This can lead to better sleep, breathing, facial growth, and feeling better overall.
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I focus on assessing and identifying tooth wear, recession, crowded teeth, TMJ problems, narrow jaw and most importantly airway. I partner with Dentists who can help address these issues.
As a Restorative Dental Hygienist, I focus on restoring dentition, placing fillings and crowns, and making adjustments to the occlusion. I also work with placing orthodontic appliances, Invisalign and any other orthodontic treatment.
Throughout my career, I have observed the significant impact of Myofunctional Disorders ( OMD’s) on jaw growth and development, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), breathing disorders, postural problems, and systemic health issues.
A curiosity and desire for answers led me to pursue continuous education in Myofunctional Therapy with various different institutes like: “Neo-Health”, “The LVI Institute”, and “RDHU”. Putting ALL the puzzle pieces together to form a comprehensive approach is what helps my clients achieve the best results.
Our goal is to cultivate an awareness of muscle use and develop a therapy program of regular exercises designed specifically to your needs.
